Online calculator for formulas used in electronic circuit design and electrical engineering.

Basic electric calculations:

Ohm's Law, Ohm's Law with power, DC power, AC real power, LC resonant frequency, Capacitor charging/discharging, Capacitive reactance, Capacitive current + reactive power, Capacitor energy, Capacitor Δ energy, RC discharging, Inductor square pulse, Inductive reactance, Inductive current + reactive power, Inductor energy, 2 parallel resistors, 3 parallel resistors, 2 parallel inductors, 2 series capacitors, System bandwidth, Bandwidth ↔ rise time, frequency ↔ period

Wire and winding calculations:

Diameter ↔ cross section ↔ AWG, Wire resistance, Wire weight, Current density, Wire R thermal drift

Calculate 2 series capacitors: 200F, 560F, 229.9999789565pF

This calculates the total capacitance of 2 series capacitors. It can also calculate the capacitance of the last individual capacitor to reach a target total capacitance.

Enter any 2 values, the 3rd one will be calculated:

C1: -0.1 +0.1 -1 +1 -10 +10 -100 +100
C2: -0.1 +0.1 -1 +1 -10 +10 -100 +100
Total C: -0.1 +0.1 -1 +1 -10 +10 -100 +100

Series capacitors rule says:

•Connecting a 200F (two hundred farads) capacitor and a 560F (five hundred and sixty farads) capacitor in series creates a 147.3684210526F (one hundred and fourty-seven point three six eight four two one zero five two six farads) capacitance.
•A 200F (two hundred farads) capacitor capacitance can be reduced to 147.3684210526F (one hundred and fourty-seven point three six eight four two one zero five two six farads) by connecting a 560F (five hundred and sixty farads) capacitor in series.
